“Put simply: there is no word to describe my participation at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 on the Matech Competition Ford GT. This is the greatest race in the world, and everything is bigger and more extreme than at any other race. From this impressive track to the passionate fans, I enjoyed every minute of it. I will always remember the first time I raced down the Mulsanne straight at more than 300 km/h in pitch darkness – it was pure bliss. Furthermore, I was racing in an all-female team, so the media attention on us was even crazier. In retrospect, I’m very proud with what we achieved: our conditions were not always optimal, but we qualified well, and even better, we were running in 4th place in GT1 before our engine blew up. With what happened in the race after we retired, it is safe to say that we would have made it to the podium. I just can’t wait to get back to Le Mans to participate once again in this magical race.”
