“One day before the Super GT pre-season test weekend at Okayama in March 2012, I took the wheel of a Porsche 911 Cup for a few laps, to get to learn the track. I was quite aware that I was going into the Super GT season with a major disadvantage since I didn’t know anything about the Japanese tracks, while my Super GT competitors knew everything about them. Every little help and occasion to lap a track counted.”
