“The Super GT pre-season test at Okayama in March 2012 was important not only for every teams and drivers in the series, but especially for me. For one thing, this test session represented the first time I really drove during an official Super GT weekend. My only time driving the Audi R8 LMS was six weeks before this test session at Fuji, and even then, it was only a quick 2-3 hour session. This one at Okayama was the real deal and to add to the pressure, I had to pass the very strict Super GT rookie test. At the end, everything went very smoothly and the whole weekend was an invaluable learning experience for me, whether on-track or off-track.”
